About me.

I am originally from Sunbury, Pennsylvania and pursued my B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. During the final year of my undergraduate studies, I was the university’s selection for the Syed R. Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence, an award given to the top student across all fourteen institutions within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

After deciding to redirect my studies towards public affairs, I stayed at West Chester University to complete a Master of Public Administration where I worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of the Senior Vice Provost. In my position, I aided multiple projects within the Division of Academic Affairs.

The Department of Public Policy and Administration at West Chester University recognized me as the top graduate student in the MPA program during my final semester. Additionally, I was selected as a 2017 Equity & Inclusion Fellow through the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management, an award to encourage participation by underrepresented students in the field of public policy.

Beyond academia, I serve as the Director of Speech for Durham Academy’s speech and debate team, a private high school in Durham, NC. Having been involved in the speech and debate activity through high school and college, I work with my students to refine their ability to communicate and advocate for disadvantaged groups. I have coached students at Durham Academy to numerous local, state, and national accolades and have been recognized for my excellence in coaching.

Personally, I am an avid runner, tennis player, traveler, and baker. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, Scout and Parker.
